Federated Church, Norfolk, MA

Facade

In August of 2025 we got a call that the blower at the Federated Church in Norfolkm MA had failed and the organ was no longer playable. The original blower was an early Spencer repulsion-start design that had long seen better days. Not only was the mechanical design of the motor well known to be an issue, the blower was set up in a position such that it's intake was directly near much dust and debris. We were happy to work with the church to source a new motor and design an relocated filtered enclosure to protect it from further intake of dust and debris. A perfect example of our collaborative nature, a member of the congregation runs a cabinet building business and offered to construct the new enclosure for us. We then assembled the enclosure in the basement and installed the new motor and blower assembly. The organ is now back in service and the congregation is enjoying their music once again.
